this book is amazing.

a day at the beach with the lovely zoe was exactly what i needed for my current state of mind.  

this summer i plan to: play in the sprinkler, eat ice cream everyday, build a fort, make s'mores, finger paint, fly my kite, go camping, take more pictures, paint more pictures, spend lots of time at foster beach, read.

final thought:  do you ever notice how little kids are always looking up or down, but never forward or backward.  it's a good idea, dont let the past define you, don't worry about the future, just live in the moment. 

i need a vacation.

i have strep throat, which is good, b/c there's a gallon of ice cream in the freezer that no one will touch except me b/c it has my germs on it....i love ice cream.

i think my favorite part about summer break is getting spend so much time with my dad, he's a dork, but he's hilarious.  he's teaching me to cook.  and to love plants.  today he posted a sighn on my door that said, have you visited your plants today, the world needs more tree huggers.  that's my dad......

want to know what happens when you dont show up to your desk attendent interview....you get stuck working 8-12 friday nights....hot, not to mention sat and sun afternoons....are my weekends going to rock, or what?

by the way, i'm in a ridiculously good mood...i wonder why....

oh man oh man...i'm so excited about the latin american film festival--tonight i saw a documentary on the lives and dreams of 8 cubans living in havana--so good--i cried, and then i made friends with the 73 mexican women sitting behinde us....we're going out for coffee next week--she's my new friend. 

saturday--boricua, sunday--buenos aires, wed--documentary of cuban hip-hop...it's going to be a good week.....the only thing that makes me happier then documentary films, is documentary films in spanish.

i think deep down, i may be a fan of college basketball...i just never knew it before because i never watched, yeterday, however, while watching the game with my sister i got so excited when illinois won in overtime that i threw a bowl of cheetos across the room, who knew basketball could be so great...maybe i was just excited to be watching something other then the food channel.....whatever, the point is, i now like college basketball, whens the next game?

i also remembered that i like poker.  i won quiche.  and a gummy worms.

speaking of the sister, today she tried to make swordfish for easter dinner...it was hilarious to say the least.

remember how i was going to do lots and lots of homework this weekend....oops.
